CONFIRMED OUTING

This outing is set up to allow photographers who work during the week to benefit from a group outing.

Outing to Sherman and Tiffany Falls to practice long exposure shots of flowing water and get more great fall colour shots for the 2nd challenge.

Meet in the QEP parking lot AHEAD of 7:30AM, we leave at 7:30. We will work out carpooling based on who is there. 

Recommended gear:

Tripod, polarizing or ND filters, BOOTS and dress warmly.

Meet AHEAD of 7pm in QEP parking lot. We leave at 7pm  

Practice the night photo skills, following the recent presentation. Get that great shot for the upcoming challenge.

Burlington canal and Hamilton harbour. Lots of opportunities for shots of structures, the foundries and even the sky depending on the weather.

Recommended gear. 

Wide angle, normal and short telephoto that can reach 200-300 mm. Tripod. 

Dress warm.

CHANGE of destination due to lack of colour at Mt Nemo.

Leaving  QEP at 7:30 AM (UNLESS IT IS POURING RAIN)

We go to RBG and Hendrie Valley (30 minutes). FREE  :-)

Hike the trails in search of early fall colours and other photo opportunities like migrating birds, Herons, Egrets and even Ospreys catching fish...if lucky. Close up photos of plants with early morning dew is a definite goal

Easy walk over good terrain. Total walk about 5 kms.

GEAR: Long and closeup lenses, tripod depending on light, good walking footwear.

At approx. 11:00 AM return to QEP.

An opportunity to practice, learn night photography techniques and trade notes with like minded photographers. We will photograph the area around 16 Mile Creek, the Erchless Museum, Lakeside Park and if time permits, street photography in the downtown area. Coffee and trading notes at Starbucks after the shoot. 

Dress warm, bring a tripod and lenses wide angle to short telephoto recommended.
