As we now all face ever challenging times within our new normals of social and physical distancing, and self-isolation due to COVID-19 coronavirus, it is with sincere regret that we must inform you of our Capture Oakville Planning Committee's decision to cancel the 14th Edition of Capture Oakville Photography Competition, originally scheduled on Friday, April 24, 2020.

We realize that many of our Member photographers have gone to much time and expense to enter and participate in our 14th Competition.  While nothing has been confirmed, the Committee is currently discussing a number of options for hosting a scaled-down version of our event at a later date in 2020.

We hope you will join us on at a date to be determined as we announce the winners of our 2020 Capture Oakville Competition.

I trust that you understand and support the above decisions.  If you have any questions, please feel free to correspond with me directly.

Many thanks for your ongoing support of our Committee, and our Capture Oakville Event.

Be Safe; Cheers, Bernie

Bernard Cook

The Latow International Audio Visual Festival is the annual highlight of the year in the AV community.

Images are presented through this dynamic medium on a theatre-size screen with audio soundtracks presented in surround sound.

It’s a premier showcase to see an exciting display of photography on different topics, using different audio-visual techniques to tell a story or to show off an artistic vision. A great evening for photographers, other visual artists, and those who simply appreciate a good entertaining show.

SUBMISSIONS DUE APR 5th 9pm

Seeking Beautiful, local photos and celebrating Local Photographers!

The Oakville Community Foundation (The Foundation) is excited to launch a photography contest – ‘Broadening our touch’ wherein selected photos will be used for The Foundation’s upcoming Annual Report.

WHY? We're all about Oakville - the people, the heritage, the future of our community - so we want to profile images that tell the Oakville stories in our publications (with CREDIT!!).

WHAT'S THE THEME?
The photos we want to gather will help tell our story of how we are on a journey of better understanding, better acceptance and greater engagement with all those who reside in Oakville.
