This information session will review the essential tools for flash portraiture as well as some optional tools and their use.

Topics covered will be:

• Cameras and lenses for portraiture (including smart phones)
• Exposure measurement and control Speedlights and low-cost studio monolights
• Options for connecting the flash to the camera
• Light modifiers - umbrellas, soft boxes and reflectors
• Backgrounds and additional resources
