"HEART OF TURTLE ISLAND: THE NIAGARA ESCARPMENT”  Oakville native Mark Zelinski presents photographs and stories from his new book bringing exquisite focus to the environmental treasures of the magnificent Niagara Escarpment World Biosphere Reserve, and celebrating the diverse communities that thrive along its rugged, curving path.  Mississaugas of The Credit, Six Nations and Anishnaabek Nations of Bruce Peninsula and Manitoulin Island are among the subjects included. A Governor General’s Medal winner, Mark Zelinski’s diverse career as a professional photographer has taken him across 80 countries.  Best known for his “Books That Heal” initiative – Mark donated 7,000 copies of his photography books to 100 worldwide charities. His nine internationally acclaimed books include forewords by Prince Philip, Lincoln Alexander, Prince Andrew, AFN Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day and Justin Trudeau.
